A fellow blogger likes to post “seven little things” she is loving in a given day. what a beautiful idea. I did not take seven photos from my day, but it certainly has been full of little things I have loved. Here’s my list, as a reminder to me to be grateful and aware of all the goodness in my life!
a bird chirping from the top of the tree outside my window
a session with my healer
a walk with a friend
fresh baked oatmeal raisin cookies
two eagles soaring by and chittering to each other (and me?)
a bath followed by a cat nap in my blue room
brown rice simmering away and salmon from last summer in the oven

I know, right. We all do. I like counting on the small things. I find I’m so much happier and less likely to get bound by the stresses of what we can’t control.

i found that cookie jar at an antique shop and think i might have actually squealed with delight
