SPRING…ing

Yes, SPRING is officially a VERB around here!  My girls and their friends started the day literally singing the praises of the new season: “We’re SPRINGing!” they said as they bounced about with joy! We had a fantastic day celebrating the Spring Equinox  —- with friends, with crafts, with flowers, with poetry, with sunshine, with snowflakes and the calm after the storm, with gumboots and creeks and nearly 20 homemade boats (kids included), with dancing, with bubble baths (for muddy spring feet), and a bit of massage and meditation too!  What a way to start off this magical season of growth and light! Here’s a few images from our spring to yours!

P.S. The flowering red current started to bloom today (but I did not have my camera in the bathtub when I noticed this outside the window)…..Spring is definitely here folks!  And the loud chorus of frog song I can hear right now confirms it.  Happy Springing!

  1. Hi there! Found you via the lovely Rachel Awes. Mmmm, what a gorgeous celebration of spring here in your post! I’ve got my windows flung open–sunshine pouring in–daffodil and tulip greens growing almost in front of my eyes. So ready for this season of openness and blossoming.

    Blessings to you today. :)

    • Hi Amanda
So glad you found me! Our spring fling for today was digging clams and oysters at the beach with cousin and grandparents in tow….so warm that my girls even went for a dip in the sea! I too am so excited about this amazing new season (though I personally do not plan any ocean swimming in these waters any time soon, how do those kiddies do it??)
